A native of Oceanside, California who started surfing at age 9,
Kelly was born into a surfing family with the ocean as a second
home. Kelly participated in her first surf contest at age eleven,
and at age seventeen traveled to competitions in Indonesia and
Tahiti as a member of the U.S. Amateur Team. Kelly has appeared
in numerous publications, books, TV shows and movies, and in
2004, she was ranked 4th in the world for women's longboard
surfing at the Women's Longboarding World Championship.
Kelly has been sharing her surfing experience with students for
over fourteen years as a professional surf coach, and her love of
spreading the surfing lifestyle is evident in the enthusiasm and
commitment she demonstrates to her clients.
