Originally born and raised in Solana Beach California, Evan began surfing at the age of thirteen. As he began to surf competitively he progressed through the Junior ranks competing in NSSA, NSL HS Games, Sun Diego Pro Am, going on to win the Juniors division of the Sun Diego series and placing equal 7th in the NSSA Nationals for the Men's Division and 14th in Juniors. He attended San Dieguito Academy High School, where he later was elected surf team captain of the prestigious surf team two years in a row, leading the team to many victories and titles. After graduating and finishing a six-year run of competitive surfing events, Evan began attending California State University Channel Islands where he pursues studies in Sociology and Ethnographic Travel Journalism. Evan has been teaching and coaching surfing for five years now and brings forth both his skills in articulation and guidance to help progress today's young surfers closure to their personal dreams with Fulcrum Surf.
